About the event
We’re inviting you to spend a weekend in an 1834 farmhouse with an attached barn, tucked into three acres in the Hudson Valley. There’s a pond on one side of the property and, on the other, a stream with a small swimming hole. The barn is the heart of the house, tall ceilings, exposed beams, double doors opening onto the front yard. A fireplace inside, a fire pit outside. A hammock between trees, a perennial garden, and a handful of chickens providing the eggs for breakfast.
The Weekend
Friday
Everyone arrives Friday afternoon, finds their room, and has time to walk the property before dinner. We eat together at the table, home-cooked, no rush. After dinner we talk about what people brought with them: what they're writing, what drew them to it, where it feels stuck. Some read a page aloud, others describe the piece.
